Analytics & Tracking

We use WebSenz, an analytics tool operated by ZENTSO, to understand how visitors use this website. WebSenz only activates after you have given your explicit consent by clicking "Accept all" on our cookie banner.

What we collect

When you consent to analytics cookies, WebSenz collects the following information about your visit:

• Page URL, path and referrer (the page you came from)
• URL query parameters and traffic source
• Browser name and version
• Operating system name and version
• Device name and manufacturer
• Screen resolution and colour depth
• Browser window dimensions
• Preferred language
• A randomly generated visitor identifier (UUID), stored in your browser's local storage
• Your authenticated user ID, if you are logged in to this application. This allows us to associate analytics data with your account for support and audit purposes.
• The application area, page and action you are navigating within (e.g. which module or page you are visiting)
• Whether your session is being operated by an administrator on your behalf (impersonation flag)

We do not collect your IP address, name, email address, or any other directly identifying personal information through analytics beyond your user ID if you are logged in.

Why we collect your user ID

If you are a registered and logged-in user, we link your analytics data to your account identifier. We do this to:

• Understand how specific users or user groups interact with the application
• Support troubleshooting and audit trails
• Detect and investigate unusual or unauthorised activity

This data is only accessible to authorised ZENTSO staff and is never shared with third parties.

How long we store it

Your visitor UUID is stored in your browser's local storage for as long as you allow it. It is removed immediately if you withdraw your consent. Analytics records on our servers are retained for a maximum of 13 months.

Your rights

You can withdraw your analytics consent at any time by clicking "Essential only" on the cookie banner, which will stop all tracking immediately and delete your visitor identifier from your browser. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any data we hold about you by contacting us at the address below.

Legal basis

For anonymous visitors we process analytics data on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). For authenticated users, we additionally rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in maintaining the security and integrity of the application, as well as our contractual obligations to your organisation (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

Our service does not rely on any third-party web services. All data collected through analytics is processed exclusively within our own infrastructure and is never sold, rented, or shared with external parties.
